Whip Wednesday :: Renault Alpine A 110-50 Concept Car

“The car is very curvy, like the Berlinette, while expressing the three key words of our new design policy: simple, sensual and friendly” –Axel Breun

Then and now.  To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original A110, Renault introduces the  Alpine A110-50, a concept car that Renault designed heavily inspired by the OG Renault A110 .  By the way in this case Alpine is pronounced Al-Peen NOT Alpine like the Japanese consumer electronics brand.  In this concept design you can see the iconic head light/ front end, curvy wide body, and confident branding of the diamond emblem.

The concept car is covered in the infamous Alpine Blue with a bold accented orange.  It’s a little reminiscent of another popular European car brand but I don’t think the fans mind it considering that nothing is truly new under the sun.  While still maintaining it’s heritage look, this beast still has a friendly and fun appearance.  Even the graphic decals on this car is tastefully placed. Best believe that Renault has plans on making a production sports car version to revive it’s brand.  Peep the pics yall!
